As I reflect on Mary, the mother of Jesus, my heart aches for the unimaginable sorrow she must have felt watching her son be crucified. Being a mother of two young boys myself, I cannot imagine. The pain of seeing Him, whom she had cradled as a baby and watched grow, now suffering on the cross must have been beyond comprehension. Yet, in the midst of her grief, Mary’s faith in God's plan remained. She may not have understood it all, but she trusted in His purpose.
In those dark moments, Mary’s love for Jesus became a silent offering, a sacrifice, as she stood by His side, knowing that His death was the path to salvation for the world. Though her heart was broken, she clung to the hope of His resurrection and the promise of redemption, holding on to the belief that this was not the end, but the beginning of something far greater.
